About This Site |
|
This web site has a fair amount of depth. There are four main sections: Homes For Sale, About Port Ludlow, Port Ludlow Professionals, and Relocating to Port Ludlow. There are also a number of general pages such as this site map, the privacy policy, a glossary, (and more). There are more pages than would be user-friendly to list on the navigation menu at the same time. Thus, white and yellow balls with plus signs in them are used as visual clues toindicate that there will be more pages to see if you click on the menu selection next to the white or yellow ball. For example, the About Port Ludlow pages include pages dedicated to Climate and Weather, Demographics, Government, History, News, Recreation, and more. Yellow balls indicate that only the main page in that section is visible. White balls indicate that some of the pages in a section are visible, but that there are more. When a section is fully expanded, there is neither a white or yellow ball next to it. For example, if you open up the About Port Ludlow Section, and also open up the Recreation section, you'll see a white ball next to the 'About Port Ludlow' menu selection, no ball next to 'Recreation', and yellow balls next to 'Boating' and 'Trails". This tells you that you are only seeing a few of the 'About Port Ludlow' pages, you're seeing all of the 'Recreation' pages, and that you're only seeing the main pages for 'Boating', and 'Trails'. Put another way, the About Port Ludlow section is the largest section in this web site and contains several subsections, such as Weather and Recreation. Recreation also contains subsections, such as Boating, and Trails. Notice that each of those sections usually also have yellow balls with plus marks in them when they are visible. Sections can be partly expanded. A white ball with a plus mark in it is your visual clue that you are seeing part but not all of a section. The usual reason for this is so that all the pages in the subsection you are viewing appear on your screen without scrolling down the page. For an example of this, view the page on Birds. Notice the white ball next to About Port Ludlow, and that the menu items in that section that start with A-G are now hidden. The mission of this web site is two-fold:

You may have noticed that some of the pages on this site are not complete. Yes, this site is currently under development. It's large and comprehensive and and portions of it will probably continue to evolve for some time. Since we're not big fans of sites that have "under construction" messages on them without some sort of explanation, we will periodically update the status messages that you see below. SITE STATUS:
