Port Ludlow Mammals and amphibians |
|
"A Village in the Woods by the Bay" may sound a little corny, but it's really a pretty good description of Port Ludlow. Our clusters of homes are separated by greenbelts, and the entire community is surrounded by miles of undeveloped woods. The golf course that stretches from the hills practically down to the shore also provides several different types of habitat for animals. The following mammals and amphibians can be seen in and around the Port Ludlow area. Some are quite shy and you need to be quiet and observant to find them. The smaller ones are more likely to be seen in the human populated areas of Port Ludlow; the larger ones usually like to stay away from people or only come out at night.
